Craft Evening: Jewellery Making

Friday 01 March, 7pm, Online via Zoom

We are wrapping up our craft events with the fidliest of them all Jewellery. Tonight we will be making a fidget necklace and a beaded bracelet. Neither project is overly technical or difficult skill wise but beading can be difficult for those with hand mobility and eyesight concerns so please keep this in mind. The list of materials for this one is quite long but you may be able to repurpose older or cheap jewelry to keep your costs down.

To Make the necklace you’ll need:

-A chain (or chain, 2 jump rings and a clasp to create your own, or neckalce string).
-2 or 3 drilled round beads (I recommend 8mm but whatever you have)
-A head pin or length of wire to create the pendant.
-You may also like to have 4 seed beads or crimp beads and a bead frame.

To Make the braclet you'll need:

- 21 round drilled beads (I recommend 8mm but again whatever you can get you may need more if you use smaller beads)
- a charm or Statement bead
- length of elastic thread to go around wrist twice with a bit extra
- 4 Heishi or smaller beads

Remember if you have a preregistration ticket your materials will be sent to you.
